U6

The U6 line in Berlin, Germany covers 29 stations and runs nearly 20 km.  The line was opened on March 8th, 1923 and has been extended several times over the years.  After the construction of the Berlin Wall, all U6 stations inside East Berlin were closed to passenger traffic (except for Friedrichstrasse), these came to be known as ghost stations.  Trains would pass through these stations but were not allowed to stop.  Only East German border police were allowed on the platforms of these stations. Ghost stations are listed below with an asterisk.
