The U2 is a U-Bahn (subway) line in Berlin, Germany. The line has 29 stations and covers just over 20 km. The U2 line is part of the original U-Bahn system which dates back to 1902. There are so many interesting stations on the U2, it’s worth a ride. If you love trains and all things public transportation, head to Klosterstraße for wall displays of old school trams, trains and buses. The Deutsche Oper station just feels old. It retains its original post & light fixtures and I can’t get enough of that beautiful typeface. Märkisches Museum with its vaulted hall and lack of central columns is also quite beautiful.
